About Me
I’m a multi-instrumentalist playing the Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, and Piano, with a particular passion for jazz, musical theatre, and ensemble performance.
At the moment, I primarily play Tenor Saxophone and I perform regularly with big bands. I’m also currently working on my debut solo jazz album, which is set for release later this year. In the past, I’ve played Clarinet in wind ensembles and concert bands and held the lead Alto Saxophone chair in a big band, but my focus has since moved to tenor.
Alongside performing, I enjoy arranging music for a wide variety of ensembles, from big bands, jazz combos and wind emsembles to rock bands and orchestras. I not only enjoy creating big arrangements from small parts, but also changing genres as I find it musically challenging.
I’m also looking into gaining more experience in musical direction and pit work. Recently, I played Reed 2 in a production of The Wedding Singer, playing both saxophone and clarinet parts. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and I’m actively seeking more pit gigs to build my experience in that area.
In terms of qualifications, I achieved a Distinction in my Grade 8 and ARSM Diploma Saxophone exams. I have also obtained Grade 8 Music Theory, and i’m currently working towards Grade 8 Piano.
